What is the current status/prog. achieved in research in compression/storage of hydrogen, for use in automobil - hydrogen fuel cell model car

What is the current situation and progress in research in the compression and storage of hydrogen technology (Fuel Cell) for use in cars with hydrogen? How long will it take hydrogen cars go on the world market for fossil fuels flood in the museums of the world? Electrolyzer generates hydrogen from electricity to drive a car, give oxygen into the atmosphere. No emissions of carbon di-oxide in the presence and the fossil fuels used in vehicles.
