Well, first of all here is some information about how you know the answer.
My father was with stage 4 liver cancer diagnosed in July 2007. It metastatic (ie, it must be started for that matter). At this point, the doctors seemed to him to live 9 months to ... Earlier this month 8, the fight was to breathe ... if we understand it would take to the emergency room so they can save for oxygen ... 3 days later, he returned home and died about 24 hours later .... This does not mean that your husband wants to live ... Everyone is different ...

But I think the hospital has killed my father .... Euthanasia, after all .... He only went to the emergency room because I could not breathe normally (not yet able to breathe oxygen and had a lvl 92). He received a huge amount of morphine and Ativan ... then ... I really do not know how long he would have survived if it did not those idiots in the room cancer .... Anyway ... Good luck and God bless ... You and your family in my prayers !!!!! If you have further questions, please feel free to ask!

I went back and read your question ... Liver disease is probably different from cancer ... I missed that part ... therefore likely to ignore my response ....

Model for End to the stage liver disease (MELD) score is a good end of the parameters for the survival of patients before liver transplantation and to identify priority to the sickest patients.

For an initial MELD ≤ 17 and> 17, is the variability later in the first.
In high MELD (> 17), 3-month survival rate was lower and more variable

I could not find a simple answer, but it seems that the last sentence and is final.

Oh dear, sorry. It is difficult to caregivers to take care of my mother, grandmother and aunt should be, because they all the different types of cancer fighting over the same period of 4 years. My aunt had Stage 4 breast cancer / lymph, the grandmother of my stage 3 cancer of the uterus, brain, and my mother had ovarian cancer stage 2 My mother was the only survivor, and is cured of cancer (in remission 16 years ago).

As to your question depends on what type of liver disease.
What are your INR, bilirubin and creatinine?
If the MELD score is that none of them think that they hang on to transplantation, or (sorry) I do not think that it is strong enough to wait 3 months.
May God bless you, honey.

My mother had primary biliary chirrosis, no alcohol. He went into the hospital and developed kidney failure, at first, then sepsis 2 weeks later than we lost. I also had nausea, weight loss, fatigue, and took lactulose .. with other drugs ... BUT .. My mother had to be admitted to the final stages of liver disease at least 2-3 months before the hospital.
I'm sorry, I can sympathize with you.
